First a neighbor, Rick became a father, brother, and friend to me during some of the toughest years of my life. Regardless of what my day was like, I could count on an open door, an old movie, and a beer. His counsel and encouragement were like a lighthouse in stormy seas, and were all the more appreciated coming from a man who weathered more than his share of storms in life. I miss you and mourn your passing.

Rick was married to my sister for over 40 years, I stood up in their wedding with his brother Ron. We enjoyed family gatherings for holidays, birthday and vacations. I have fond memories of our frequent family vacations to Port Austin, MI. Rick was a wealth of knowledge, you could bring up any subject and he would have interesting input and add a different perspective. Always a teasing nature between us. R.I.P dear brother, you will be missed

It is so hard to put our feelings into words. Eric was much more than a close friend, he was the brother Pete never had. Whenever we came back from the cottage, we always called Eric and let him know we arrived home safely. Wednesday nights will never be the same. It was our honor to be his friend.
"How about those Lions!"
