Theodore "Ted" Carl

Theodore “Ted” Carl, age 69, a long time resident of Warren passed away October 21, 2019. He was born in Detroit on August 25, 1950. He was employed as a commercial painter. Beloved father of Lana (Troy) Horning and Mia (Eric) Tritch. Loving grandfather of Douglas, Mila, Vera, Mara and Lola. Dear brother of John, Bessie, Carol (Joel), Helen and Lia (Tony). Devoted uncle of Peter (Natasia and Gianna), Christopher, Ana, Marcos, Nikko, Leo, Delvina, Stefano, Nikolina, Dario and Markella.

Visitation at the St. Clair Shores Chapel of Bagnasco & Calcaterra Funeral Home, 25800 Harper Avenue, Friday, October 25, 2019 from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a Trisagion Service at 7:00 PM. A Funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, 21800 Marter Road, St. Clair Shores, instate at 9:30 AM until the time of service of 10:00 AM.

Ted was the most selfless, caring, kind and loving father to his daughters Mia and Lana.  He loved his brother and sisters and all of his nieces and nephews unconditionally.  He put his entire family before anything else and was the true definition of a family man.  Ted was also an amazing grandfather to his 5 grandchildren and made a meaningful and lasting impression on their lives. He worked as a painter and would often highlight some of the impressive landmarks where he did work that stood the test of time, including most of his relative’s houses.
Ted loved sports, especially tennis, both watching and playing. Ted also loved his music! Not only did he love listening, singing and dancing but he also loved playing his guitar. God truly took home one of the all time greatest and we will all miss him so much!

Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
