Salvatore Crimando

Salvatore “Sam” Crimando passed away June 4, 2019, at St. John’s Hospital. Sam was born August 14, 1926, in Detroit, the son of the late Vito and Marie Crimando. He was married to Virginia Wallace on June 23, 1951.

Sam loved games of all kind, especially golf, bowling and cards. When he wasn’t playing, he was watching. However, after his beloved Ginnie, he loved his family most of all.

He is survived by his loving wife, Virginia; sister, Phyllis Minne: sons, Michael (Cindy) Crimando and John (Kathie) Crimando; grandchildren, Charles (Lauren) Crimando, Derek (Amanda Fingarson) Crimando, Kelsey (Stephen) Tatum, Carrie (Christian) Zinn and great-grandchildren, Clara Crimando, Stella Crimando, Eliza Crimando, Ruby Crimando, Josephine Crimando, Alice Crimando, Oliver Zinn and Abigail Zinn.

The family will be receiving friends from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm Thursday at Bagnasco & Calcaterra Funeral Home, 25800 Harper Ave, Saint Clair Shores, MI. The funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Friday at the funeral home. A memorial luncheon will be served immediately following the service at Lakeland Manor, 26211 Harper Avenue, St. Clair Shores, MI.
