He was a proud veteran who served in the U.S. Army, as well as the National Guard. He was well known for his big heart, his constant smile, his sense of humor, his strong faith, his love of family, up north, his building and woodworking skills and his amazing cooking. He loved sports and was an avid fan of all the Detroit sports teams. He was very competitive and played a mean game of Euchre. He loved having his family and friends to his up north lake house to boat, fish, snowmobile, play horseshoes, play volleyball, eat, drink and just be together creating life-long memories..

Arrangements are entrusted to the St. Clair Shores Chapel of Bagnasco & Calcaterra Funeral Home, 25800 Harper Avenue (3 blocks North of 10 Mile Road). A celebration of life is planned with a visitation memorial and mass at St. Isaac Jogues Church, where Ray was an usher for over 40 years.. Family and friends are invited to join the celebration and should reach out to the funeral home or family for additional details.. Ray will be laid to rest together with his beloved wife Juanita in the Garden of the Ascension at Resurrection Cemetery. Forever in our Hearts!
