Mary Martelle

Mary Theresa Cavataio Martelle, born September 21st, 1922, passed away on May 25th, 2022, at the age of 99, surrounded by her loving family. She was a beautiful, intelligent, and strong woman, a cancer survivor at the age of 96. She loved her family, music, cooking, and watching Jeopardy! every night. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Robert Martelle and their first-born son, Thomas Allen Martelle, as well as her parents, Faro and Antonina Cavataio, and her siblings Josephine, Joseph, Domenica, and Catherine. She is survived by, and dearly loved and missed by her six living children: Louise (Greg) Vidosh; Patricia Dzialo; Catherine (Don) Williams; Joseph (Patricia) Martelle, Joann Martelle-Walker (Milton Walker) (Ken Rutz); and Brenda Nutt. She is survived by, and dearly loved and missed by her numerous grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and many other friends and family. She will always be in our hearts.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2022 from 1-6pm at Bagnasco & Calcaterra Funeral Home, 13650 E. 15 Mile Rd., Sterling Heights, MI.
