Leonard E. Kowal

Leonard E. Kowal, passed away November 12, 2023.

Beloved husband of the late Irene, married since March 1949. Loving father of Sandra Kowal, Linda (Carl) Kinkead, and the late Carol Ann Kowal. Dear grandfather of Jesse (Melody) Kinkead and Timothy (Jamie) Kinkead. Great-grandfather of Lilli, Hunter, Finn, and Marceline. Brother of the late Charles Kowal.

He served in the Navy from August 1943 to April 1946 during World War II. Leonard worked for the Detroit Postal Service for over 40 years before retiring in January 1981. He always stayed busy while working his Christmas tree farm where he grew and sold trees. He’ll be remembered by his talent of creating beautiful wood carvings.
