Josephine Kuhlman

Josephine Ancona Kuhlman, 57, passed away on January 20, 2022 after a long and courageous battle with brain cancer.

Beloved wife of the late Robert Kuhlman. Devoted daughter of the late Joe and Jessie Ancona. Loving sister of Ben (Kathy) Ancona, Joe (Nina) Ancona and Mike Ancona (Patti Stewart). Proud aunt of Judy (Carmine) Madonna, Jamie (Frank) Romeo, Jennifer (Rich) Artymovich and Melanie Milford. Loving great-aunt to Francesca, Salvatore and Biagio Madonna, Katie and Emily Romeo, Ricky, Annie, Joey and Daniel Artymovich. Dearest niece of Dr. George (Jan) Carlino. Dear sister-in-law of Barb (Dale) Milford.

She is survived by many loving cousins and dear friends.

Josephine retired from Rochester Colon Rectal Specialists in 2021 after working for 20+ years. Devoted to her Catholic faith, she was a longtime member of St. Rene Goupil Church in Sterling Heights. Josephine loved going to Michigan State football games, Detroit Red Wing games, Stevenson High School football games, Rochester University softball games, and anything her great nieces and nephews were involved in. They were her pride and joy. Josephine loved animals, especially her beloved cats, trips to the family cottage, concerts and most of all, spending time with her beloved family and friends, who will miss her deeply. Visitation at Bagnasco & Calcaterra Funeral Home 13650 E. 15 Mile Rd., Sterling Heights MI, Wednesday 4-9 pm and Thursday 1-9 pm with Rosary at 7:00 pm. Funeral Friday at St. Rene Goupil Catholic Church 35955 Ryan Rd., Sterling Heights, MI Instate at 9:00 am until time of Mass at 9:30 am. Entombment at Resurrection Cemetery.
