Joe Addy

Addy, Joseph H., age 70, May 9, 2018. Beloved brother of Mary Ann (the late Gene) Schultz and Maria Margaret Addy. Dear uncle of Andrea (John) Byrum, Paul (Leah) Schultz, Mark (Sue) Schultz, Regina (Danny) Williams, Robert Dietrich and Matthew (Amanda) Dietrich. Loving great uncle of Alexander, Marissa, Jonathon, Zachary, Noah, Jaden, Joshua, Eve, Gino, Dominic, Angelo, Breelin, Elianah, Imani, Sidney and the late Matthew Jr. He is loved and survived by many cousins. Joe proudly served his country in the United States Army. In his many careers he worked as a social worker with abused children in Chicago, as an Audio Engineer where he composed his own songs and developed a microphone, worked with refugees in Norway with the Red Cross and in his later years at Starbucks where you could always rely on him for a good cup of Joe. He loved animals, a good debate and is known for his kindred spirit and good soul. A Memorial Gathering will take place Monday, June 4th at 9:30am until time of the Memorial Mass 10am at Our Lady of Hope Parish, 28301 Little Mack Ave., St. Clair Shores.
