James William Bennett

James William Bennett, age 78, a resident of St. Clair Shores, passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at Ascension St. John Hospital in Detroit. He was a long time member of St. Lucy Church in St. Clair Shores. Mr. Bennett was born December 12, 1940 in Detroit. He was retired from the Detroit Public Schools employed as a purchasing agent. Beloved husband of the late Judi. Dear father of Andrea (Jay) Thompson, George (Patti) and Kimberly Mullinax. Loving grandfather of Matthew (Crystal), Nicholas, Paul (Jennifer), Joel (Caitlin) and Kristopher (Veronica). He was also blessed by 4 great grandchildren Giulana, Adriana, Avery and Ty. Brother of Patricia Michalski. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 3-9 pm and Wednesday 12 noon until 9 pm with a 6:30 pm Amvets White Clover ceremony followed by a Rosary at 7:00 pm at Bagnasco & Calcaterra Funeral Home, 25800 Harper Avenue, St. Clair Shores. Mr. Bennett will lie in state on Thursday, October 3 from 9:30 am until 10 am, the time of the funeral mass at St. Lucy Church, 23401 East Jefferson Avenue, St. Clair Shores.
