Glenn Leon Hardy Sr.

Glenn Leon Hardy Sr. age 72, a longtime resident of St. Clair Shores passed away on Friday, November 8, 2019 at Ascension St John Hospital in Detroit. He was born on July 27, 1947 in Detroit. He was a Staff Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps who served proudly in the Vietnam War. He is survived by his beloved wife Katy and his children Kady (Brian) Farr, Rachel (Mark) Liss, Glenn (Melissa) and Marty. Loving Papa of Cat (Mike), Christopher (Jaclynn), Lillian, Stephanie, Jordyn, Hunter, Caleb, Markie, Kendal and Leah. Brother of Betty and Esther. He was preceded in death by 16 siblings. Memorial Visitation will take place on Sunday, November 17th from 3-7pm with a 6pm Rosary at the Bagnasco & Calcaterra Funeral Home, 25800 Harper Road, St. Clair Shores. A memorial mass will be held at Assumption Grotto Church, 13770 Gratiot, Detroit on Monday, November 18 at 10AM. Interment will follow with military honors at the Assumption Grotto Church Cemetery. Memorials honoring the memory of Mr. Hardy may be directed to Special Olympics Michigan.
