Gilbert Samuel Hartson

Gilbert Samuel Hartson, 75, passed away Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at McLaren Macomb, Mt Clemens. Gilbert was born October 31, 1942 in Detroit, Michigan, the son of the late Samuel and Dorothy Hartson. He was married to Maria Vittiglio on June 7, 1969.  He was a proud government servant as he served in the United States Marine Corps., the United States Air Force Reserves and retired as a United States Mail Carrier.

He is survived by his loving wife Maria Hartson; daughter, Deborah (husband Aaron) Miller; son, Gilbert Samuel Hartson Jr. (partner Sarah Sherman); papa to William Miller and Maria Miller, brothers, Tom (wife Gail) Hartson and Greg (wife Cindy) Hartson.

A man with the best sense of humor, a sportsman who enjoyed golf, fantasy football, swimming and fishing with his grandkids. He is a patriot and a loving husband, father and papa who will forever be missed.

Gilbert will lie in state 9:30 am to 10:00 am with a 10:00 am Mass, Monday, October 8 at St. Margaret’s of Scotland Catholic Church, St. Clair Shores. Visitation will be Sunday, 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Bagnasco & Calcaterra Funeral Home, St.
