Emerson “John” Belmore Jr. February 27, 1939- November 13, 2022 Served in the US Navy after leaving Lakeshore high school. Worked as a fire fighter for the city of Saint Clair Shores, retiring as Sergeant. He is survived by his close friend Mary, his ex-wife and life long friend Renee’ Belmore, son George Belmore wife Pam and grandchildren Nick, Parker and Claire. Son (E.J) Emerson John Belmore III , wife Janet and grandchildren (Jake and Elly). Daughter Gabrielle Sharp, partner Jason Tracy, ex-husband Bill Proulx. Grandchildren and Great Grand Children, Jade Powell (Michaela, Jenara ) Ryan & Taylor Sharp (Rileigh and Teagan) Jordan & Tom Kennedy ( Salem, Reyna and James) and Lily Proulx. Also survived by his sisters Emily Troia, and Mary (Jim)Berger. He also is remembered fondly as Uncle Johnny Ginger by many nieces and nephews. He joins his Mother and Father in Heaven: Emerson John and Eleanor Belmore, brother in law Dominic Troia, and sister Barb(Larry) Hysell and brother Richie.
John was an avid card player and loved scratching lottery tickets. He enjoyed trips to Las Vegas and Atlantic City. He loved to golf and was a passionate Detroit Red Wings fan. A Memorial Mass will be held at alter date.
