Tribute

Edward Yott November 7, 1927 - November 20, 2022.

Husband of 69 years to Elaine (nee Belitsos) Yott and father of Kathie O'Sullivan and Janice (Donald) McPherson. Loving grandfather of Sean O'Sullivan, Michael (Amanda) Yott, Freddie (Laura) Kaul, and Jennifer (James) Morrow. Great Grandfather of Nathan, Nicholas, Daxton, Jade, Malayna, Kenyun, Aspen & Georgia. Preceded by his son, Michael Yott; brother, Larry Yott; and Mother, Jean Yott (nee Drane).

Ed served in the United States Army Military from 1946 to 1947 in Okinawa, Japan. He married his loving bride on September 25, 1953, had 3 children, 4 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He retired from General Motors as an engineer after 34 years.

Eddie never skipped a beat. He had a love for motorcycles which he rode proudly until he was 83. His love for the water was endless which was shared on his many boats with his family and friends. He spent weekends on Lake Saint Clair cruising around in "Storm Cloud" checking out the scenes and enjoying every view. He water skied until he was 80 years old and enjoyed family trips to Houghton Lake making memories and sharing jokes with his loved ones.

Family always was number one to Ed. He never questioned and always helped. His heart was generous and his door was always open. He loved his Big Band swing music and danced every chance he could. He shared his famous "Oh Ed" jokes, enjoyed old cowboy and war movies, good food prepared by Elaine, and never missed a party. His laugh was contagious and his presence was noticed. He will be missed by his family but we know he will be dancing, smoking cigars, cruising on his boat and telling his Oh Ed jokes to all of those that he loved that are greeting him at heaven's door. Forever in our hearts. Rest in peace Ed.
