Martz, Donald, age 92, December 17, 2020. Donald "Butch" Martz was born on March 1, 1928 in Detroit, MI to his parents Henry and Anna Martz. Loving husband of Mary (nee Stone) for 72 years. Dear father of Sue (the late James) Keyes, Robert (Barbara), Donald Jr. (Roseann) and the late Thomas Martz. Dear grandfather of 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Brother of the late Harry, Henry, Norbert, Robert, Geraldine, Theresa and Dorothy.
Donald "Butch" Martz graduated from Denby High School .He was a All State Football and Baseball star at Denby High.  He was recruited by the NY Yankees and played in the minor league.  Donald "Butch" Martz served his country and was a proud U.S. Navy Veteran. He was a member of the VFW Bruce post and Active Parishioner of St. Isaac Joques Catholic Church in St. Clair Shores, MI. His true love was his wife and family. His best friend forever was his brother Bob who preceded him in death just a few months ago. They loved to meet at the Bruce Post for just a "little drink". Donald never let anyone forget how important his family was to him.  His children and grandchildren can attest to his faith in God and love of family.  He enjoyed playing ball, coaching his sons' hockey and baseball games, bowling and playing cards. He will be greatly missed by all his family.

Memorial Contributions may be made to VFW Bruce Post or Alzheimer's Association per request of the family.

A Memorial Mass is Scheduled at 12:00pm on Monday, December 28, 2020 at St. Isaac Joques Catholic Church, 21120 Madison Street, St. Clair Shores, MI . Burial Will Take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, MI on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at 12:30PM.
