I never had the pleasure of meeting Gino in person. You see I live in MT and Gino contacted our organization to do a query on his genealogy. I had the honor of taking his phone call that fateful day and thus began a several year friendship on-line. I shall miss Gino's bright and warm emails and his queries to set me off on another mission to find the missing links in his family. Thank-you Gino for the pleasure of letting me know your family. Dear Carol, It has been several years since our DLS days together supporting the Lasallian mission and cheering for the Pilots. We just learned of Gene's passing through mutual friends, and sincerely regret that we missed his wake and funeral. We will always remember Gene as a most kind and devoted man. Our deepest condolences extend to you and the entire family, May he rest in peace among the angels.

Carol, Alexander, and Anthony, I’m shocked and deeply saddened by the news of Gene’s passing. I will miss the conversations we had at and outside of work. Please know that every time Gene and I talked his love for his family was very evident. Cindy and I will lift you up in our prayers.
